Wintercry
Wintercry is a free dark fantasy text RPG and visual novel about a broke wanderer sent north into a frozen, forbidden country. The job sounds simple: recover a manuscript from the castle of Duul-Asdaat.
Story choices are tested with DVNGEON checks. Two six-sided dice meet an attribute, a target number, and whatever comfort you are willing to spend. Failure does not simply close a path. It can cost health, supplies, or memories, and the journey continues with the consequence.
